Beautician shares horrific damage to client's eyelashes after using curlers

During lockdown, many people turned to box hair dyes and DIY gel nail kits while trips to the salon were off the cards, and many people have decided to carry on with their home beauty treatments, after realising how much money they can save.

"So today while I was cleansing my client's lashes, I noticed so many natural lashes that looked like they'd been cut, they looked blunt," she explained.

"Do you know why they look this way? It's because she uses eyelash curlers! We do not recommend anyone to use eyelash curlers on natural lashes."

Ipek went on to explain that while the eyelash curlers are a "quick fix" for getting a lash lift, they're also extremely damaging and "literally cut your natural lashes."

In a comment, the lash technician recommend using a heated lash curler, which is like a brush rather than clamping down on the lash and causing any damage.

"I already thought my lashes were getting shorter, now this makes so much sense," one TikTok user commented, while another added: "Oh s***, I'm guna have to pretend I didn't see this..."
