Beatles Festival taking place in Dublin featuring live music and table quiz

Dublin Beatles Festival is returning to the city for a one day Beatlemania party at The Workman's Club which will feature live music as well as an array of events for fans of the legendary band.

Taking place on Saturday, November 5, the day will feature a play, live music and a table quiz at which true Beatles fans can show off their knowledge.

The Beatles themed fun kicks off at 2pm with Lennon & Shotton, a short play play about John Lennon and his best friend Pete Shotton.

Then show follows the two teenagers boys through their wild years at Quarry Bank High School in Liverpool and is completely based on fact. It will be directed by festival organiser Stephen Kennedy and performed by Padraic McGinley.

Following that at 3pm is The Beatles Table Quiz, which will be hosted by Denny and Steve from Quiz-tastic. Testing Beatles fans on their knowledge of the beloved rock group, there will be a mix of prizes to be won and costs €40 per team to take part.

The big gig later that evening at 8pm includes The Moondogs, who last played the Dublin Beatles Festival back in 2013 when they were up-and-coming teenagers.

That will be followed by Beatles for Sale, an Irish Beatles tribute band who will be covering the band's greatest hits and most loved songs.

Both bands have played throughout Europe, and both have headlined at the Cavern Club in Liverpool during Beatleweek.

Tickets for the big gig on Beatles Day at The Workman's Club are €22.50.

Tickets for all Beatles Day events are available to purchase via Eventbrite.
