Beat The Chasers win leaves Clive Mantle emotional as he bags £100,000 for charity

Actor Clive Mantle was left visibly emotional on Beat The Chasers on Monday night, after a huge win for charity.

The Game of Thrones and The Vicar of Dibley actor was seen composing himself, as host Bradley Walsh announced he'd won a whopping £100,000.

The celebrity special raising money for charity ended with all six Chasers on their feet, applauding Clive who took a moment to process what had happened.

Clive had confirmed at the start of his attempt he was raising money for the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

After taking on five of the six quizzers with 60 seconds on his clock, compared to 41 on the clock of his opponents, he managed to beat them.

He had just 14 seconds left on his clock as the Chasers, including Mark Labbett, Darragh Ennis, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha and Jenny Ryan, reached zero on their own timer.

As it became apparent he had won, golden confetti dropped from the ceiling as the audience cheered him on.

It's then that Clive placed his hands over his face clearly shocked and overwhelmed by the achievement, and the money he had raised for his chosen charity.

Of the win he said: "I can’t tell you what that money will do for the youth theatre."

Bradley called his win "extraordinary", adding: "What a performance," before repeating how much he had won.

As he did this, Clive placed his hands on his head as he took it all in, and appeared stunned by Bradley's words.

The Chasers then praised his quizzing skills on particular answers, and said it was "impressive".
