He was then given the option of playing between two and five Chasers for increasing amounts of money, but with a decreasing time advantage against him.

As the money goes up, so does the number of Chasers he must face.

Choosing to face three for £10,000 it looked like Gordon was easily going to secure the money.

But after a few stumbles, it was neck and neck between him and the Chasers.

With four seconds to go on his clock, and one second on the Chasers timer, Gordon would have to answer quickly if he were to win the cash prizee.

Unfortunately, Bradley read out a long question leaving Gordon with no time to answer and ultimately empty-handed.

Fans couldn't belive Gordon's bad luck, with some saying he was 'robbed' of the win.

One wrote: "Oh no poor Gordon."

Lisa tweeted: "So close there for Gordon."

Chis said: "Bradley just lost that for Gordon by taking too long to ask the next question."

Lizzy commented: "Gordon was robbed."
