Beat The Chasers star reveals new 'leaner and meaner' look after weight loss

He's nicknamed 'The Beast' on The Chase and its spin-off show Beat The Chasers - and star Mark Labbett says he's feeling 'leaner and meaner' after shedding the pounds.

The 55-year-old quizzer looks almost unrecognisable in his latest Instagram post as he showcased his weight loss with before and after photos posted side-by-side.

Mark has now vowed to become the "skinniest Chaser" after reportedly shedding five stone.

Crediting online meal delivery service Muscle Foods he said: "Leaner, meaner lockdown with good folks of muscle foods. At this rate I will be the skinniest chaser."

And the compliments came flooding in for his new look.

"Well done, you have done amazing!!!" said one fan.

"Weight loss has taken years off you! Wish I had a bit of your willpower."

"Looking good Mark," said another.

"Wow, what a massive change. You have done so well Mark, you should be mega proud," praised a third follower.

"You look incredible Mark," said another.

"Looking lean but still very mean but we wouldn’t have you any other way Beastie."

Another said the weight loss was visible in recent episodes.

"Noticing the difference in recent episodes of The Chase," they said.

"Well done!!"

In another Instagram share the TV star sported another different look, with a beard and wet hair.

He told his followers: "Time for the beard to go #cleanshavenbeast"

Mark started out as a 'Chaser' on the ITV gameshow The Chase, hosted by Bradley Walsh, in 2009.

On the spin-off Beat The Chasers contestants try to beat a combination of the Chasers  - Mark, Anne Hegarty, Jenny Ryan, Paul Sinha and Shaun Wallace - to win big cash prizes.
