Beat the Chasers fans annoyed as contestants have same thing in common

Beat the Chasers fans were left annoyed tonight as they realised the contestants all had the same thing in common.

Tonight's show saw the first three contestants take to the stage, with the first contestant Anthony admitting he was a national quizzer.

But despite his boasts he went out in the first round on the first question.

Next up was Belle, who had previously appeared on The Chase and brought £40,000 back to her team, she decided to play all five Chasers for £100,000.

Belle, from Birmingham, won £5,000 in her cash builder and decided to make the gamble to win big money, but it didn't pay off and she went home with nothing.

Then it was time for the third contestant James, who Paul instantly recognised.

Paul did a rap about the contestant, before saying: "James beat me on Mastermind in 2008."

James also decided to take on all five Chasers to win £50,000, however he also failed to take home any cash.

But viewers at home didn't think it was fair as all of the contestants were either quizzers or had appeared on quiz shows before.

@unicornshoite1 said: "Another quizzer on #BeatTheChasers that they’ve all met - tarnishes the show now."

Kevin Howett said: "Why is it picking former contestants from other quiz shows, give someone else a chance."

Kev Reid said: "Is everyone on there a former player, a quiz master, a friend of one of the chasers or an actor."

Brittany Taylor said: "All these people on beat the chasers have been on the normal programme, other shows or met them already?? This is like ‘The Quiz’ all over again, they’re all sharing the same phone number."

*The Chase continues at 5pm on ITV on Monday
