Beat The Chasers contestant warned after insulting Bradley Walsh with Doctor Who jibe

A Beat The Chasers contestant is warned "you'll pay for that" after a jibe against host Bradley Walsh.

The Chase spin-off kicked of to an audience of millions of viewers on Monday night and continues on Tuesday as more contestants are called down from the audience with the opportunity to take on all of The Chasers for big money.

Monday's first episode saw one contestant Bernie take a huge gamble which, unfortunately for him, didn't pay off, while another, Alex, took home £25,000 after successfully taking on three of the Chasers.

On Tuesday another hopeful called Travis achieves his dream of taking on the formidable quiz legends, telling them The Chase is one of the only shows he watches when he's not at uni, adding: "and Doctor Who of course," which gets a handshake from Bradley who tells him: "you're a good man Travis."

Bradley was in the cast for the most recent series of the famous BBC programme but sticking the knife in, Travis then says: "The new series isn't great, but you know..."

His remark gets hearty laughs from Chasers The Vixen and The Beast who clearly find it hilarious, before The Beast, real name Mark Labbett, warns him: "You'll pay for that!"

Speaking last week about how contestants have been on Beat The Chasers, Bradley said: "“I was surprised that all of the contestants didn’t try to take them (The Chasers) all on.

"If you see £100,000 in front of you – what other chance are you going to get? You’ve come to the studio with nothing – let’s go!”

He added: "“One contestant I was really welling up over the fact they’d won the money. It was a very poignant moment. They ended up going home with a lot of money – it was great!”
