Beat The Chaser's Jenny Ryan gutted for Wirral player Wild Humphrey

Beat The Chaser's Jenny Ryan was gutted tonight for contestant Wild Humphrey from Wirral.

The dad, also known as The Fact Master, had previously impressed Mark Labbett with his knowledge.

Wild has the special skill of being able to remember a memory that happened on any date within two seconds.

And his talent came in useful on Beat The Chasers as he scored a possible four out of five questions correctly in his cash builder.

Rather than face just two players for £4000, Wild opted to take on four chasers for £50,000.

He also had a time advantage of 14 seconds.

Wild started very strong in the final round, answering correctly a streak of several questions.

But after one tricky history question, things fell away for Wild and he timed out with 14 seconds for the Chasers still on the clock.

Jenny Ryan was devastated for Wild.

She said: "We hate to see a good player go into a spiral."

And host Bradley Walsh added: "Great performance, bad luck mate."

Fans of the show were equally as sad.

Monty tweeted: "Hard luck Wild."

Sammy said: "Ah no!!"

Declan tweeted: "Wild Humphrey on Beat The Chasers Is Brilliant!"

And Jacob added: "I like #Wild on #BeatTheChasers. He's like a brainy mafia boss!"
