Bearsden police investigation sees officers comb 'disturbed' farmland in Duntocher Road area

Police have launched an investigation into 'disturbed farmland' in Bearsden with officers combing the scene.

A sizeable police presence, including forensic officers, has been seen on part of a farm in the Duntocher Road area.

It is unclear exactly what the probe relates to at this stage, with police advising they are working to establish if any criminality has taken place.

Emergency services were first alerted to the report on Saturday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live" “Officers are conducting enquiries into a disturbed piece of farm land in the Duntocher Road area of Bearsden which was reported to police on Saturday 14, August, 2021.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish any criminality.”

UPDATE: A Police Scotland spokesperson has advised this afternoon (Wednesday): “Officers have concluded enquiries into a disturbed piece of farm land in the Duntocher Road area of Bearsden which was reported to police on Saturday 14, August, 2021.“No evidence of any criminality has been established in relation to this.”
