Bears WR Allen Robinson lands on GMFB’s ‘toe drag swag’

The lone bright spot on the Bears offense this season has been wide receiver Allen Robinson, who is already worth every penny general manager Ryan Pace paid him in free agency a year ago.

Robinson is known for his ability to win those contested catches — and he flashed that skill, as well as he toe-drag ability, against the Oakland Raiders. Particularly on the second of his two third-quarter touchdowns from quarterback Chase Daniel.

And that touchdown did not go unnoticed by Good Morning Football‘s Nate Burleson, who acknowledged Robinson’s skill in the segment “Toe Drag Swag” on Wednesday.

“He’s a playmaker,” coach Matt Nagy said, via the Sun-Times. “He’s special. He’s somebody that makes you a good coach, makes you call good plays.”

If not for Robinson, the Bears receiving corp. as a whole would be wholly ineffective. Robinson leads the Bears with 377 receiving yards on 31 receptions over the first five games.

Robinson, who is on pace for 99 catches and 1,206 yards, has proven to be the reliable target for both Mitch Trubisky and Chase Daniel.
