Bears Week 7 Injury Report: Trubisky, Nichols, Gabriel full participants again Thursday

The Chicago Bears look like they’ll get back three starters come Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, as quarterback Mitch Trubisky, defensive tackle Bilal Nichols and wide receiver Taylor Gabriel all practiced in full for the second straight day.

Offensive lineman Ted Larsen was the only limited participant in Thursday’s practice, as he continues to rehab from a knee injury that might force converted defensive lineman Rashaad Coward into action at right guard on Sunday.

While Bears coach Matt Nagy won’t confirm whether Trubisky will start against the Saints, the fact that he practiced in full for two straight days — and took most of the reps with the offense — is a good indication that the third-year quarterback will be good to go in Week 7.

Also returning for a pivotal NFC showdown is Gabriel, whose last impression was a three-touchdown performance where the Bears offense came alive for a second quarter of football. Perhaps Trubisky and Gabriel can recreate that offensive spark Sunday.

More good news for the Bears as Nichols was a full participant in practice again, which will only help a defensive line that will be without Akiem Hicks for at least the next eight weeks.

But it’s not as good news in New Orleans, as star running back Alvin Kamara missed practice yet again on Thursday, as he continues to battle ankle and knee injuries.
