Bears Week 5 Injury Report: Gabriel, Hicks, Trubisky DNP, Long limited Thursday

Before the Chicago Bears head across the pond for Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders, they hosted their last practice of the week at Halas Hall on Thursday.

The injury report was a carbon copy of Wednesday’s report, where QB Mitch Trubisky, DL Akiem Hicks, WR Taylor Gabriel, DL Bilal Nichols, LB Joel Iyiegbuniwe and OL Ted Larsen all sat out practice.

With the bye week coming after Week 5’s game in London, the Bears might choose to rest some of their injured starters Sunday. Among those injured starters is Trubisky, who suffered a dislocated left shoulder against Minnesota, as well as Hicks (knee), Nichols (broken hand) and Gabriel (concussion).

RG Kyle Long (hip) was limited for the second straight day, although his return Sunday appears more likely than Hicks.

K Eddy Pineiro (right knee), Trey Burton (groin) and Roquan Smith (personal) were all full participants for the second consecutive practice.
