Per the Sun-Times, the stadium site will feature a “transit-oriented mixed-use entertainment district” in what’s considered “one of the largest development projects in Illinois state history.”

Bears President/CEO Ted Phillips said that they expected to close on the land later this year or perhaps into early 2023.

“Our focus for long-term development is exclusively on that property at Arlington Park,” Phillips said back in January.

For those planning to attend: The meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. CT in the John Hersey High School gym, located at1900 E. Thomas St. in Arlington Heights.

Seats will be on a first come, first serve basis. Parking lots will open at 5 p.m. and the doors open at 5:30 p.m.
