Bears tight end Jimmy Graham wrote on Twitter that he was fine after getting in a car accident Thursday morning in Miami.

“Just wanted to get ahead of this and tell everybody I’m fine,” he wrote Thursday afternoon. “Was in an accident this morning trying to avoid a disabled vehicle in the center lane. I walked away from it unscathed. Blessings.”

Fox Sports 640 AM in Miami reported that Graham’s car rolled over but he felt so good he didn’t even want to be examined by paramedics.

He later exchanged Tweets with another former University of Miami player, Brandon Harris, who said he actually saw Graham at the accident scene. Graham wrote back and assured him he “did all I could to avoid the people in the stopped car.”

Graham had 50 catches for 456 yards in his first season with the Bears. He’s entering the final year of a two-year contract. In need of cap space, the Bears could look to cut Graham or rework his contract before the start of the league year March 17.
