Bears starting quarterback Andy Dalton boldly declares ‘it’s my time’ and NFL fans laughed

QB1 is declaring he’s still QB1.

It looks like the Chicago Bears are still going with Andy Dalton as the starter at quarterback as of right now and not the more dynamic, exciting player in rookie Justin Fields.

And of course Dalton isn’t going to respond to questions about how he feels about that by saying, yeah maybe I should stop trying to be the starter here and step aside for Fields.

So while there are a lot of jokes going around (see below), none of us should be shocked that Dalton said, “Justin’s going to have his time … but right now, it’s my time.”
