Bears start key stretch of NFC North games with 34-22 win over Lions at Soldier Field

CHICAGO _ The Bears made a strong impression as they opened a key stretch of NFC North games with a 34-22 victory over the Lions on Sunday at Soldier Field.

The victory, which opened a slate of three division games in 12 days, is just the second Bears victory in the last 11 games against the Lions. It also snapped a 10-game division losing streak. The Bears (6-3) face the Vikings next Sunday and the Lions again on Thanksgiving Day in Detroit.

Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky completed 23 of 30 passes for 355 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions for a 148.6 passer rating.

Wide receivers Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller both topped the 100-yard receiving mark and found the end zone, with Robinson notching his first two-touchdown game in a Bears uniform.

Meanwhile, the Bears defense forced three Lions turnovers and sacked Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford six times. Khalil Mack, playing for the first time in three games after recovering from an ankle injury, had two of those sacks.

Cornerbacks Bryce Callahan and Prince Amukamara had interceptions.

Trubisky completed all five of his passes on the opening drive as the Bears took a 6-0 lead.

Bears running back Tarik Cohen scored on a 3-yard touchdown run, but kicker Cody Parkey missed the extra-point attempt off the right upright.

Robinson gave the Bears a 13-0 lead with 38 seconds to play in the first quarter. He beat cornerback DeShawn Shead to the end zone for his first touchdown since Oct. 14 against the Dolphins.

The play came on third-and-15, two plays after safety Quandre Diggs broke up Trubisky's pass to a diving Taylor Gabriel in the end zone.

The Bears took a 26-0 lead after Trubisky scored on a 4-yard touchdown run with 8:14 to play in the second quarter, but Lions running back Kerryon Johnson scored before halftime cutting the Bears lead to 26-7.

Bears kicker Cody Parkey missed his third and fourth kicks Sunday early in the third quarter, a 41-yard field-goal attempt and a 34-yard field goal attempt. All four misses bounced off an upright.

Earlier in the game, Parkey missed two extra-point attempts.
