Bears sit 32 players in preseason finale

The Bears roster Thursday night looked a lot different than it will in one week.

The team slated to play the Titans sat 32 players — all their starters, plus its best backups.

Notable on the list: fifth receiver Javon Wims, the seventh-round pick from 2018 who appears to have made the team.

Thirty of the other 31 — all but injured tackle Rashaad Coward — will be on the field next week against the Packers. They are:

Offense: Quarterback Mitch Trubisky; running backs David Montgomery, Tarik Cohen and Mike Davis; receivers Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, Anthony Miller, Cordarrelle Patterson and Wims; tight ends Trey Burton, Adam Shaheen and Ben Braunecker; and offensive linemen Charles Leno, Cody Whitehair, James Daniels, Kyle Long, Bobby Massie and Ted Larsen.

Defense: linemen Akiem Hicks, Eddie Goldman, Bilal Nichols and Roy Robertson-Harris; outside linebackers Khalil Mack and Leonard Floyd; inside linebackers Roquan Smith and Danny Trevathan; cornerbacks Prince Amukamara, Kyle Fuller and Buster Skrine; and safeties Eddie Jackson and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

Bears coach Matt Nagy has sat all his relevant players all offseason. Trubisky finished the exhibition slate with three snaps — all handoffs — in Week 1. Mack, Akiem Hicks and Jackson are among the Bears to not take the field at all, in the name of staying healthy.
