Bears signing former Packers S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to 1-year deal

The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears have pulled off a safety swap of sorts this offseason.

On the day the Packers officially signed former Bears safety Adrian Amos, the Bears have agreed to a one-year deal with former Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Clinton-Dix, a first-round pick of the Packers in 2014, was traded to the Washington Redskins at the trade deadline last season. The Packers received a fourth-round pick in return.

Now, Clinton-Dix will join his second new team in the span of six months.

In Chicago, Clinton-Dix will help replace Amos, who signed a four-year deal worth $37 million in Green Bay. He’ll join forces with All-Pro safety Eddie Jackson to form the new safety tandem for Chuck Pagano’s defense with the Bears.

Over four and a half seasons with the Packers, Clinton-Dix tallied 390 tackles, 14 interceptions and 5.5 sacks.
