Bears sign offensive lineman Ted Larsen for second stint in Chicago

The Chicago Bears brought back a familiar face as the new NFL league year began Wednesday afternoon.

The team announced a one-year deal with offensive lineman Ted Larsen, who played in Chicago in 2016 under John Fox.

Larsen started eight games for the Bears in 2016 after Kyle Long injured his ankle, and he’s spent the last two seasons as a starter for the Miami Dolphins.

Back in Chicago, Larsen will move to a backup role, providing veteran depth at both center and guard.

Last year’s backup interior offensive linemen Eric Kush and Bryan Witzmann are both still free agents, and the signing of Larsen could eliminate the possibility of either returning to the team.
