Bears sign former Browns OL Alex Taylor to practice squad

The Cleveland Browns had a lot of depth on their team during training camp. While there were lots of questions about who would be kept and if anyone would be traded, the team put together the best 53-man roster they could.

The biggest name cut after preseason was KhaDarel Hodge who was claimed by the Detroit Lions and then renegotiated his contract to cut his cost in half.

A few other Browns players were picked up quickly after initial cut downs and that trend continues going into Week 2.

Today, the Chicago Bears have added former Browns offensive lineman Alex Taylor to their practice squad:

The Bears have some significant concerns on their offensive line but could also be interested in Taylor from his time in Cleveland. Chicago will visit First Energy Stadium in Week 3 and Taylor could be of assistance to the team in preparing for that game as well as giving the team some depth.

Taylor is an interesting physical prospect who has a lot of development needed but, with the Bears limitations, could find use in Chicago quickly.
