Bears sign 10 to reserve/futures deals

The Bears signed 10 of their players to reserve/futures contracts on Sunday, including Khalil Mack’s little brother.

Beside outside linebacker Ledarius Mack, the Bears also signed receivers Rodney Adams and Thomas Ives; defensive backs Marqui Christian, Xavier Crawford and Teez Tabor; offensive linemen Dieter Eiselen and Badara Traore; tight end Jesper Horsted; and defensive tackle LaCale London.

Teams can give reserve/futures deals to players that didn’t finish the season on their 53-man roster. They go into effect at the start of the league year in March, and count toward the 90-man offseason roster. Handing out the contracts the day after the season is common, as it guarantees the players can’t be added by another team.

None of the above recorded a stat for the Bears this season.

Mack — who like brother Khalil played collegiately for the Buffalo Bulls — spent most of his rookie season on the Bears’ practice squad.
