Bears’ Roquan Smith, Mitch Trubisky still in question for Raiders game

Bears coach Matt Nagy was riding high after a 16-6 victory over the Vikings on Sunday, but he was somewhat subdued in a radio appearance Monday morning when discussing the status of two of his best players.

Inside linebacker Roquan Smith was a late scratch for personal reasons against the Vikings, something Nagy didn’t clarify at all after the game, and he said Monday the team hasn’t decided whether he will travel to London on Thursday in advance of the upcoming game against the Raiders.

“We’ll see,” Nagy said on WBBM. “We’re still working through all that. We’ll see where it goes.”

There’s also the issue of Mitch Trubisky, who hurt his shoulder six plays into the game and was in a sling on the sideline. Nagy said the team will proceed with him and Chase Daniel for now, but hopes to have definitive word on Trubisky’s health by Wednesday.

“We’ll be prepared both ways,” Nagy said. “We’ll have a plan for either one. We hope [Trubisky] is good.”
