Bears re-sign Roy Robertson-Harris and Isaiah Irving

As the Chicago Bears enter a new offseason program, they’re bringing back two key reserve players for the new season.

The Bears have officially signed defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris and linebacker Isaiah Irving, the team announced on Monday.

Both Robertson-Harris and Irving were exclusive rights players, which means that, while not under contract, they were not free to sign with any other team. If a player doesn’t sign the contract with their team, the player has to quit. Reserves and practice squad players typically fall under exclusive rights.

Last season, Robertson-Harris had three sacks in 16 games and Irving had one sack in 13 games, both serving reserve roles.
