Bears predictions: Week 12 at Packers

The Sun-Times’ experts offer their picks for the Bears’ game Sunday night against the rival Packers at Lambeau Field:

RICK MORRISSEY

Packers 27-13

Hmmm. The Bears have lost four straight games, and the Packers are still stinging over an overtime loss to the Colts. Green Bay’s quarterback is Aaron Rodgers, begging the question: does it really matter who the Bears’ quarterback is? Season: 6-4.

RICK TELANDER

Bears 17-16

Going to Lambeau Field to play the Packers is like going to a cheese house to play curdled milk. No chance. Except this time there will be no Cheeseheads in the stadium for a homefield advantage. The Bears losing five in a row? God help them. God help us all. Season: 6-4.

PATRICK FINLEY

Packers 20-16

The Bears have won two games at Lambeau Field since 2008, when quarterback Mitch Trubisky was in seventh grade. Making it three would qualify as the biggest upset victory of Matt Nagy’s career. Season: 8-2.

JASON LIESER

Packers 24-20

The Bears will compete, but they aren’t capable of going on the road and toppling a Super Bowl contender. The Packers have won 17 of 20 as this rivalry has deteriorated, and the current version of the Bears isn’t good enough to buck that trend. Season: 3-7.

MARK POTASH

Packers 23-16

The Bears should be fresh coming off their bye, and their defense usually contains Aaron Rodgers. But with their stagnating offense, the Bears probably need a defensive score to pull off the upset. Season: 5-5.
