The Bears’ injury crisis extends well beyond their offensive line.
The team turned in their most extensive injury report of the season Wednesday, with a whopping 10 players missing practice — and two more on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Among those who sat out: safety Eddie Jackson, who hurt his knee against the Rams, and tight end Jimmy Graham, who has both a knee and hamstring injury.
Backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky hurt his throwing shoulder while being tackled on his only play Sunday, and did not practice. Receiver Anthony Miller has a toe problem, while nose tackle John Jenkins has an ankle injury and defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris a shoulder issue. They missed practice.
Defensive standouts Akiem Hicks and Danny Trevathan both received their customary veteran’s day off Wednesday.
Offensive linemen Cody Whitehair (calf) and Sam Mustipher (knee) sat out, while tackle Jason Spriggs has COVID-19 and guard Germain Ifedi is in isolation after being declared a close contact.
Safety Tashaun Gipson has a foot injury, and was limited. Star edge rusher Khalil Mack, who’s been bothered by back and knee injuries this season, was a full participant.
