The Tennessee Titans kicked off the 2019 preseason strong with a dominant 22-17 road win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
But the team has faltered since then, dropping both of their last two matchups in Nissan Stadium.
While matchups ahead of the season don’t carry a lot of meaning, it’s hard to ignore some of the issues still being seen, particularly within the first-team offensive line.
Between this and Tennessee’s inability to win a game since the first week of the preseason, it’s not hard to see why sports bettors would have a difficult time putting their money on the team.
In their next contest, the Titans will travel to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears, who are listed as favorites by a point spread of (-2.5) per USA TODAY’s odds.
Chicago had a slow start to the preseason, losing a pair of games against the Carolina Panthers and the New York Giants before recording a 27-17 win over the Colts in Indianapolis last week.
They’ll aim to keep that streak going as they return home for the last game before the regular season.
The all-time series between Tennessee and Chicago currently sits at a 6-6-0 tie, with the Titans having won the most recent matchup, 27-21 on their opponent’s turf back in 2016.
The Titans and Bears are set to kick off a 7:00 p.m. CT in Thursday night action.
