Chicago Bears wise receiver and former Georgia Bulldog Javon Wims has been putting on a show this preseason. He caught five balls for sixty-four yards in week two against the New York Giants and has been one of the top receivers the past couple of preseasons.
Wims played sparingly as a rookie, so he’ll be looking for a bigger role this season. He and former UGA teammate Riley Ridley are expected to provide quality depth for the Bears at wide receiver. Wims was excellent at contested catches during his time in Athens, so it’s not shocking to see that trend continue in the NFL.
Wims additionally had a highlight catch in training camp. He should be a lock to make the Bears’ roster.
