Bears Injury Report: Mitch Trubisky, Bilal Nichols questionable vs. Saints

The Chicago Bears (3-2) released their final injury report ahead of an NFC showdown against the New Orleans Saints (5-1), and it’s encouraging despite some official statuses for Sunday.

Quarterback Mitch Trubisky (left shoulder), defensive tackle Bilal Nichols (hand) and offensive lineman Ted Larsen (knee) are all officially questionable for Sunday.

Barring any setbacks, Trubisky is likely to play against the Saints. He was a full participant in practice throughout the week, and Bears coach Matt Nagy said they wanted to make sure he could make it through a full week and be ready for a return Sunday.

Nichols, who was a full participant for practices on Wednesday and Thursday, was limited on Friday and he’s officially questionable as he recovers from a broken hand. If Nichols plays Sunday, he’ll wear a cast on his hand.

Larsen, who was limited Wednesday and Thursday, practiced in full on Friday. The Bears haven’t announced who will start at right guard in the place of Kyle Long, who was placed on season-ending injured reserve Monday. Whether that’s Larsen, Rashaad Coward or even rookie Alex Bars remains to be seen. Although it’s likely Coward will get the nod with a full week under his belt.

The Saints officially ruled out running back Alvin Kamara, who has been struggling with ankle and knee injuries, and tight end Jared Cook, who is battling an ankle injury.
