Bears Inactives: Trey Burton returns for Week 2 at Broncos

Chicago Bears tight end Trey Burton is active for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos, returning to the field for the first time since the 2018 regular season finale against the Minnesota Vikings.

Burton missed the 2018 Wild Card game against the Philadelphia Eagles due to a groin injury, which ended up being a sports hernia.

After setbacks during the offseason, Burton was a game-time scratch for the Bears regular season opener against the Packers in Week 1.

Nose tackle Eddie Goldman is also active for Week 2. Goldman had been dealing with an oblique injury since Thursday and was questionable heading into the game.

Rookie wide receiver Riley Ridley and running back Kerrith Whyte headline the Bears sitting out the game.
