Bears inactives: OLB Khalil Mack (shoulder) good to go vs. Texans

The Bears are fighting to stay in the race for an NFC wild-card spot and they’ll have most of their key players Sunday against the Texans.

Their most significant concerns were outside linebacker Khalil Mack with a shoulder injury and wide receiver Darnell Mooney missing the entire week because of a personal situation. Both players are active.

Here are the Bears’ inactives:

OL Lachavious Simmons

DT Daniel McCullers
OLB James Vaughters
CB Buster Skrine

Skrine is out after suffering a concussion against the Lions last week, making this the first game he’ll miss since joining the Bears in 2019. He has played 67% of the defensive snaps this season.

Vaughters is a significant loss, too, and this will be his second missed game in a row because of a knee injury.

Of note for the Texans, they made wide receiver Brandin Cooks inactive.

At 5-7, the Bears are one game behind the Cardinals for the No. 7 spot in the NFC.
