CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Bears will have defensive tackle John Jenkins available again after activating him from injured reserve and making him active for today’s game at the Panthers.

They’ll also have their choice of backup offensive linemen Alex Bars and Rashaad Coward to take over for left guard James Daniels. Bars, who played for Daniels against the Buccaneers last week, and Coward are active.

Coward started 10 games at right guard last season after Kyle Long went on injured reserve.

Jenkins played 29% of defensive snaps in the season opener and 40% in week two before tearing a ligament in his thumb. He also played on special teams.

Longtime defensive back and special teams standout Sherrick McManis also is back after missing two games with a hamstring injury.

They’ll continue to go without backup safety Deon Bush, who will miss his second consecutive game with a hamstring injury.

Here are the Bears’ inactives:

WR Riley Ridley
OG Arlington Hambright
OLB Trevis Gipson
CB Duke Shelley
S Deon Bush
