Bears have lost four straight games vs. Eagles

The Chicago Bears are headed to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles in desperate need of a win after losing their last three games to fall to 3-4 on the season.

But it won’t be an easy task.

Not against the Eagles, who have defeated the Bears four straight times, including in last season’s wild-card playoff contest at Soldier Field.

While it’s only fair to take those last two times they’ve played — in the playoffs in 2018 and the regular season in 2017 — history isn’t on the Bears’ side come Sunday.

The last time these two teams met in the regular season, the Eagles blasted them 31-3 in Philadelphia. And Bears fans won’t soon forget how the Eagles beat them last January on Cody Parkey’s double-doink missed field goal in a 16-15 loss.

The Bears’ last win over the Eagles came in Week 9 of the 2011 season. Entering the game as an eight-point underdog, Chicago scored the final 13 points for a 30-24 victory at Lincoln Financial Field.

Given how the Bears have been performing at home this season (1-3)  perhaps it’s good that Sunday’s contest is in Philadelphia.

But the Bears will need a lot more than a road game — particularly quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to step up — if they have any chance winning on the road in a hostile environment.
