Bears have a 'strong' feeling Mitch Trubisky will return to play the Rams on Sunday

Bears coach Matt Nagy said Wednesday he has a "strong" feeling quarterback Mitch Trubisky will play Sunday night when the Bears host the Rams at Soldier Field.

Trubisky has missed two games with a right shoulder injury and hasn't participated in practice in full since he was injured Nov. 18 against the Vikings. Nagy said he needs to see what Trubisky can do in practice this week and how he feels before they make final determination.

"I feel strong that he will play, but I've got to see more," Nagy said. "I feel good about it. I hope so, and I'm anxious to get him out there and see him throw the ball around in practice with the guys and evaluate him off of that."

Trubisky said he feels "really close" to 100 percent. But he said he needs to show Nagy he can make all of his throws and show there are "absolutely no reservations in my game, so that's when I run, throw, pull it down, I'm just the same guy I was before and even stronger from all of the treatment and exercises I've been doing."

He added: "I feel good, and hopefully they'll let me go because I feel like I can."
