Bears fans react to QB Justin Fields signing his four-year contract

Justin Fields is officially a member of the Chicago Bears.

The rookie quarterback signed his fully guaranteed four-year contract worth $18.871 million, which includes a $11.085 million signing bonus, on Friday. And it’s exactly the news to jumpstart any Bears fan’s weekend.

While there wasn’t any doubt that Fields would sign his deal, it feels good to know it’s done well before the start of training camp. After all, the Bears’ last first-round pick — Roquan Smith in 2018 — didn’t sign his rookie contract until August.

Since his arrival in Chicago, Fields has impressed coaches, teammates and media members alike during rookie minicamp and voluntary OTAs. While Andy Dalton has already been named the starting quarterback heading into the season, we know how quickly things can change in the NFL. Especially if Fields continues to impress during training camp.

As you can imagine, it’s a happy day for Bears fans now that Fields has officially signed his contract. Here’s a collection of some of the best reactions to the news.
