Bears fans aren’t amused with Russell Wilson April Fool’s Day prank

There is no worse day on the Internet than April 1st, where people take time out of their day to prank hapless sports fans on this day known as April Fool’s Day. And there’s no NFL franchise that’s easier to pick on right now than Chicago Bears fans.

Chicago’s quarterback woes are nothing new, but the pain is fresh following losing out on trading for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. The Bears made an offer — three first-round picks, a third-round pick and two players — but the Seahawks turned it down.

Seattle’s hesitance to trade Wilson also stems from the fact that they don’t have a replacement for him. And while the Seahawks closed the door on a potential Wilson trade, Adam Schefter and other reporters have indicated that Wilson in Seattle isn’t a guarantee in 2021, something to monitor as we approach the NFL draft.

And while Wilson to the Bears remains a pipe dream, some people couldn’t resist a little April Fool’s joke at the expense of Bears fans. The Twitter account NFL Memes shared a graphic — that resembles official graphics from ESPN or NFL.com — that noted Chicago had traded for Wilson.

And it’s safe to say Bears fans were not entertained.
