Bears fans are dumbfounded about Matt Nagy’s decision to make starting QB a game-time decision

Matt Nagy hasn’t done himself any favors this week following the worst offensive outing since he joined the Bears in 2018.

After refusing to name a play caller for Sunday’s game against the Lions — which many expect to be offensive coordinator Bill Lazor — Nagy has now refused to name a starting quarterback before the game.

Nagy said the starting quarterback will be a game-time decision. Translation: If Andy Dalton is healthy, he’ll be the guy. If not, it’ll be Justin Fields.

Heck, even Fields admitted he doesn’t know if he’s starting on Sunday.

But, at this point of the week, Nagy and his coaching staff know exactly who will be starting on Sunday. They just want to use the injury situation to their advantage with the gamesmanship that Nagy is so obsessed with.

Fields has practiced in full throughout the week while Dalton has been limited and if officially questionable against the Lions.

Still, Bears fans are beyond done with Nagy’s mind games and how he’s handled things this week, especially the quarterback situation.
