Bears expected to sign RB Mike Davis

The Chicago Bears agreed to terms with a running back Monday, but it wasn’t one of the bigger names associated with the team in free agency.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Bears will sign former Seahawks running back Mike Davis.

Davis spent the last two seasons in Seattle after beginning his career with the 49ers. He finished 2018 with 112 carries for 514 yards and four touchdowns, all career highs.

Davis turned 26 in February and is entering the prime of his career. It appears the Bears prefer his explosive still set over Howard’s methodicam style and are betting on a big stretch of seasons from the former South Carolina star.
