DECATUR – Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, whom the Bears signed to pair with all-pro Eddie Jackson in March, is expected to open training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list Thursday.

Clinton-Dix sprained his knee toward the end of mandatory minicamp, general manager Ryan Pace said Sunday.

The Bears don’t expect the injury to be a long-term problem, he said. The Bears also expect tackle T.J. Clemmings, who is recovering from knee surgery, and defensive lineman Jonathan Harris, who has a hamstring injury, to begin camp on the PUP list.

Clinton-Dix signed a one-year, $3 million deal to join the Bears and play alongside Jackson, his former Alabama teammate. He played for the Packers and Redskins last year.
