Bears end 1st quarter with less yards than they started with vs. Eagles

The Chicago Bears’ offense continues to be wholly ineffective in a Week 9 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

After one quarter of play, the Bears offense rank six plays for -1 yard. That’s right, negative 1 yard.

The Eagles, meanwhile, have run 20 offensive plays for 122 yards.

The Bears started the game with a 4-yard run by rookie running back David Montgomery. Since then, he has two carries for 1 yard.

Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has completed 1-of-3 passes for 2 yards and been sacked once for a loss of 4 yards.

The Bears defense has been on the field most of the first quarter — after two three-and-outs by the offense — and they’re struggling to get off the field against the Eagles.

The Eagles lead 6-0 early in the second quarter.
