Bears dead cap: 48 players account for over $24 million

The Chicago Bears have among the least salary cap space in the NFL at $3.432 million, which includes some huge cap hits, as well as some dead money that’s contributing to the cap.

The Bears carry nearly $24 million in dead cap, which is spread out among 48 players who have been released or traded. Some of the names are expected, including the likes of cornerback Kyle Fuller and offensive linemen Charles Leno and Bobby Massie, but others might come as a surprise that they’re still on the books for the Bears.

Here’s a look at the 48 players that currently contribute to the Bears’ dead cap and how much they account for.
