The Bears cut three players Tuesday, including outside linebacker Ledarius Mack — the little brother of star Khalil Mack. Oswego High School alum Michael Joseph, a cornerback, and wide receiver Justin Hardy were also waived.

Teams had to whittle their rosters down to 85 by 3 p.m. Tuesday. Rosters must be trimmed to 80 by Aug. 24 and 53 by Aug. 31.

Joseph had been part of the Bears’ practice squad, off and on, since 2018. Ledarius Mack spent parts of last season on the Bears practice squad as a rookie. He had a quarterback hit Saturday against the Dolphins.

Earlier Tuesday, Khalil Mack talked about training with his brother.

“It’s just having fun, doing what we love to do, but also understanding that it’s a job that we have to do at a high level,” Khalil Mack said. “And I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure you do it at a high level. I need you to make sure I keep playing at that high level as well. So show me and tell me what I’m doing wrong as well.”
