Bears-Colts game moved to 3:25 p.m. Sunday

The Bears game Sunday against the Colts has been moved to the late afternoon.

The teams will play at 3:25 p.m., not noon, as originally scheduled. The decision was made to fill the CBS vacancy left when the NFL on Saturday decided to postpone Sunday’s game between the Chiefs and the Patriots after each team had a positive test.

Patriots star quarterback Cam Newton is reportedly positive for the coronavirus. The league said the game will be played Monday or Tuesday.

The shift will give the Bears even less time between the end of the game and their Thursday night contest against the Buccaneers. Sunday will mark the first 3:25 p.m. game the Bears have played this season. The three others — at the Lions, against the Giants and at the Falcons — have all had noon kickoffs.

With fans not allowed inside Soldier Field, the time change will have less of an effect than it would during a typical season.
