Bears coach Matt Nagy throws touchdown at practice, might be Chicago’s best QB

It might be time for Mitch Trubisky to start worrying about his job. No, he won’t get a challenge from the world’s most expensive clipboard holder, Chase Daniel, but maybe head coach Matt Nagy will consider himself an option at quarterback after dropping a dime during a Bears training camp practice.

Before Nagy became one of the NFL’s brightest offensive minds, he was a good quarterback in the Arena Football League. His stint in Arena Football actually earned him a spot on the 2009 Eagles roster. So maybe it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the 41-year-old is capable of doing this…

That’s a Pro Bowl corner in Kyle Fuller that Nagy beat with the throw. That’s no easy task.

We don’t know how far Nagy threw it, but it’s an impressive throw nonetheless. It’s a throw the Bears will be counting on Trubisky to make consistently during the 2019 season. But, apparently, it’s OK if he isn’t able to since the head coach can clearly play quarterback in a pinch.

At the very least, Nagy should play one drive during the preseason.
