Bears’ Allen Robinson, Cole Kmet will play vs. Vikings

The Bears’ top offensive weapon will play Monday night.

Receiver Allen Robinson, who the Bears listed as questionable because of a knee injury, will be active against the Vikings. So will rookie tight end Cole Kmet, who was questionable to play because of a groin injury.

Jason Spriggs, who was questionable because of a knee injury, is active and could start at right tackle after missing last week’s game after he contracted the coronavirus. Linebacker Barkevious Mingo, who carried the ball on a fake punt last week, will play after being questionable because of a shoulder injury.

The inactive Bears are no surprise; quarterback Mitch Trubisky (right shoulder), running back David Montgomery (concussion), center Sam Mustipher (knee), nose tackle John Jenkins (ankle), outside linebacker Trevis Gipson and defensive lineman Anthony Rush.

Earlier Monday, the Bears activated center Cody Whitehair from the reserve/COVID-19 list and promoted former Pro Bowl running back Lamar Miller. They should both impact the Bears’ beleaguered run game — as should offensive coordinator Bill Lazor, who will call plays for the first time.

This season, Robinson has 57 catches for 712 yards.
