Beachgoers terrified by 'tree' that unexpectedly jumped out at them

People enjoying a day out were left completely stunned when a 'tree' jumped out at them.

Sunseekers were heading to Formby Beach in Liverpool to enjoy a nice day out, but found themselves victims of a prank.

The destination is popular in the city, the beach stretches for miles and it is surrounded by hundreds of acres of woodland.

Youtube prankster Alvin Hub decided it'd be a great idea to set up a "bushman" prank at the beach entrance, the Liverpool Echo reports.

He dressed from head to toe in fake leaves and stood next to a tree - before jumping out at unsuspecting people walking past.

And the entire thing was caught on camera.

In part of the video's description he wrote: "[This] was the best of all pranks. Everyone was so focused on getting to the beach, but [they] never saw the bushman standing there.

"I have never had such a wonderful moment filming pranks and it was a privilege to meet some awesome people with the best sense of humour."

Footage shows people of all ages being startled by the "bushman" as they walked to and from the beach, most of whom who took it in their stride.

The video has been viewed almost 80,000 times, with thousands of likes.

Comments have been posted from people in places as far as Brazil.

One commenter wrote: "You're amazing. Keep up the great work. I look forward to seeing your next video"

Another said: "Haha that's brilliant mate"

Alvin Hub, from Manchester, has videos of the same prank in various locations on his Youtube channel.
