NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Jay Shah on Saturday shared stunning images of the new National Cricket Academy coming up in Bengaluru.

The new state-of-the-art NCA, with world-class facilities, is nearing completion and it will provide the current and future cricketers the best possible platform to hone their skills.

The facility houses three world-class playing grounds, quite a few outdoor and indoor pitches along with top-notch aquatic training and recovery programs.

"Very excited to announce that the @BCCI’s new National Cricket Academy (NCA) is almost complete and will be opening shortly in Bengaluru. The new NCA will feature three world-class playing grounds, 45 practice pitches, indoor cricket pitches, Olympic-size swimming pool and state-of-the-art training, recovery and sports science facilities," Shah wrote on X.

Back in February 2022, former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and Shah had announced that a new NCA will be built near the Bengaluru airport.

The new NCA is the extension of the current one, which is also in Bengaluru and is headed by former India cricketer VVS Laxman.

The current NCA, which was established in 2000 is located near the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in the city and is also used for the rehabilitation of injured players.

The BCCI is in process of starting NCAs in Jammu and Kashmir as well as in the North East.
