BCCI asks Covid reserves to stay back in hotel on match days

MUMBAI: The BCCI, in an e-mail (TOI has a copy) communication to all the 38 participating teams on Wednesday, has asked them to ensure that Covid-19 reserves stay in the team hotel on match days.

In his email, BCCI's operations team member Amit Siddheshwar has written: "Dear sir, all the participating teams are requested to make a note of the following. Not more than 20 players and 10 support staff are permitted to occupy the dressing room on all match days.

"While the teams are permitted to carry two additional players as covid reserves (over and above the official squad of 20), who can participate in the team's practice session, they will stay back in the team hotel on all match days and maintain the sanctity of the bubble."
