The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced edutech platform Unacademy as the official partner for the Indian Premier League’s (IPL’s) 2020 edition, scheduled to be played in United Arab Emirates from September 19 to November 10.

Unacademy had last week lost the battle to be the title sponsor.

However, on Saturday, the BCCI announced that the e-learning platform will be one of the two official partners.

The slot was vacant after Future Group’s retail arm, fbb, decided to pull out of the sponsorship deal.

While the BCCI statement didn’t specify the sponsorship amount, it is estimated to be approximately ₹40 crore for the forthcoming edition.
