BBC weatherman makes embarrassing slip up during live report - but sees the funny side

Poor Tomasz Schafernaker made a rather telling slip up during his live report.

The BBC weatherman got his words mixed up while telling viewers what the weather has in store for the country over the next seven days.

But thankfully, he saw the funny side.

He had a little giggle and blamed the fact he’d had too much sun and it had gone to his head.

Tomasz said: “So it looks as though on Saturday there is a bit of rain, it could be almost anywhere, east or west.

“Then the sun comes out and I think from cider…”

Realising his error of accidentally slipping in the alcoholic beverage, Tomasz stopped himself from laughing and composed himself quickly before continuing.

“From Sunday it does look as though the sunshine has got to my head,” he laughed.

He moved on to the week ahead’s outlook, before adding that he got his sunshine from his lockdown exercise.

“So this is what we’ve got, we have got a little bit - during my very brief run I promise you,” he said.

He then continued with his report: “And then after that, look at that, it turns warmer and sunnier.”

He then passed the baton back to the studio where presenter Riz Lateef had a good laugh about his error.

"You styled it out Tomasz, thank you,” she said.

We'll let you off, Tomasz - it is the weekend after all.
