BBC weatherman in stitches as he realises hilarious blunder during live report

BBC weather presenter Tomasz Schafernaker certainly saw the funny side after an epic mistake during this live report on the latest forecast.

He was informing viewers of the weekend forecast, which will be bringing some rain showers across the next few days.

But as his report was coming to an end, he made a slight slip up and hilariously used the wrong word.

Even funnier was his reaction after he immediately noticed his mishap, leaving him struggling to continue the rest of the report.

As he began revealing what the weather had in store across Friday and the weekend, he said: "It's gonna turn drier maybe.

"I think the general message is through the weekend it's going to be drying out.

"So it looks as though on Saturday there could still be a bit of rain, it could be anywhere, East or West, then the sun comes out and I think from cider..."

He'd meant to say Sunday, before stating the name of an alcoholic beverage instead.

Immediately bursting into laughter, Tomasz shook his head before confirming his mistake.

He chuckled before correcting himself: "Cider, from Sunday..."

On the blunder, he quipped: "It does look as though the sunshine has got to my head."

Tomasz Schafernaker was quick to point out he was sticking by lockdown rules (BBC)

He then quickly added, to ensure viewers knew he was sticking to COVID-19 lockdown rules: "During my very brief run of exercise, I promise you."

Tomasz continued to laugh off his mistake, before handing back to presenter Riz Lateef.

She too found the moment hilarious, telling him: "You styled it out Tomasz, thank you."

Not many people seemed to notice the moment, while it certainly made us laugh!
